'Can't change customs for one person'

MALAPPURAM: Thirumandhamkunnu Devi temple authorities termed the allegation raised by a young woman that she was denied entry to the temple because she had sported a headscarf as baseless.
Addressing media here, C C Dinesh, executive officer of the temple at Angadipuram here, said it was customary to remove shirt/scarf/ footwear during temple darshan and no exemption could be given on any ground.
It was on Saturday that 25-year-old Anjana Menon from Pattambi came up with the allegation that she was blocked by security guards of temple for wearing headscarf.
