BJP seeks micro donations via NaMo App
TNN | Oct 24, 2018, 04:54 ISTNEW DELHI: After launching sale of merchandise through NaMo App, BJP is now seeking micro donations through it with party president Amit Shah saying it is in line with the party’s stress on transparency in public life.
Sharing donation receipt of Rs 1,000 made by him, PM Narendra Modi tweeted, “Your support and contribution will strengthen the resolve of our karyakartas to serve the nation.”
Shah, who also contributed the same amount, said, “Keeping in line with our values of ushering in transparency in public life, BJP has started an initiative of seeking micro donations from our karyakartas and well wishers through the NaMo App. You can donate any amount between Rs 5 and Rs 1,000.”
“I appeal to all our karyakartas and well wishers to join the initiative for bringing in transparency in public life and donate using either NM app or at http://donations.narendramodi. in,” he said. BJP social media chief Amit Malviaya said response through the App has been overwhelming.
