Pune Metro FB page crosses 4-lakh mark

PUNE: Mahametro officials are trying hard to expand Pune Metro’s online as well as offline reach. On Saturday, Mahametro added another feather to its cap after its Facebook page crossed the 4 lakh mark. To celebrate the moment, delighted officials held a cake cutting event at their office in Pune.

Mahametro officials said that keeping the page active and holding important Facebook live events has helped Mahametro in achieving the goal.

Officials claimed that they are updating every small achievement on the page, which is helping in connecting and engaging with people. “People continue to ask questions on Facebook and about 1.2 lakh people visit the Facebook page on a weekly basis and about 20,000 people respond to posts of Mahametro on a weekly basis. People are engaged as they are interested in the development initiatives of Mahametro,” added a Mahametro official. 

Similarly, to expand its offline reach, Mahametro has also set up an information centre to help solve queries of people on a one-to-one basis. Mahametro has also organised several interaction sessions with people getting affected by the project. Mahametro MD Brijesh Dixit has thanked the citizens of Pune for showing trust in metro project.
