Some office-bearers of Mumbai Youth Congress have expressed unhappiness over the style of functioning of their chief Ganesh Yadav, according to a letter sent to the higher leadership in the party.
The office-bearers, including a vice president, six general secretaries and four secretaries of the Mumbai Pradesh Youth Congress have written a complaint letter to Krishna Allavr, who is incharge of Indian Youth Congress, urging him to save the "future of the organisation".
The development comes weeks after some mebers of Mumbai Congress reportedly demanded ouster of Mumbai's party unit chief Sanjay Nirupam.
The trigger of the letter was apparently the "Bharat Bachao Andolan" organised by local youth congress leaders in Andheri yesterday.
The complainants alleged that Yadav "manipulated the programme unconstitutionally to favour his pet candidate, for his vested interest", by targetting the elected district president Bharat Solanki, an SC leader.
"We all office-bearers are of the opinion that today's event attended by IYC (Indian Youth Congress) president (Keshav Chand Yadav) and Vice-president (Srinivas) was organised and conducted unconstitutionally and against the party's ideology," the letter reads.
It alleged that Yadav "without taking everyone into confidence, manipulated" the programme to "favour his favourite candidate for his vested interested deliberately."
The letter says that Yadav targeted Bharat Solanki, who is an elected member from the SC community and he was sidelined from the event.
"This form of dictatorship puts a big question mark on the future of the organisation," it added.
When contacted, Yadav said he was not aware about such a letter written against him.
"I am not aware about any such letter. Even if there is one, then it is our internal matter and can be sorted out with the intervention of our senior leaders," Yadav told PTI.
Interestingly, Yadav is among those leaders who had written to the top leadership of the Congress, demanding ouster of Nirupam from the post of Mumbai Congress chief.
