The strike called by Delhi Petrol Dealers Association against the state governemnt’s refusal to reduce value added tax on fuels is an exercise to malign the Aam Aadmi Party to help the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and oil companies.
If the Modi government is really concerned about the public anger, it should reduce the petrol price to Rs 35 a litre as the BJP had promised in the run up to the 2014 election. People are not going to accept the party at any cost because they are now disillusioned with its incompetence and false promises.
