Criminal gunned down in Malihabad

LUCKNOW: A criminal allegedly shot his aide over a long-term dispute regarding distribution of stolen cash and jewellery, in Mirzaganj of Malihabad late Saturday night.
Unidentified miscreants opened fire at victim Chandan Lodhi (36). He was declared brought dead at KGMU trauma centre. SP (rural) Gaurav Grover said preliminary investigations showe d that a few years ago, Lodhi, Dileep, Deepak and Sumair ran a loot gang. "During an operation, they had got huge booty which Lodhi took away. Its distribution led to disagreement between them and they fell apart. The impact was such that Sumair went on to become a police approver and got Lodhi arrested," said Grover.
After Lodhi came out of prison, Sumair died in an accident. Dileep had also attacked Lodhi several times. "It could be the handiwork of Deepak and Dileep," added Grover.
