CM receives petitions

Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami received petitions from the public at the travellers’ bungalow in the rural town of Edappadi on Saturday.

The Chief Minister, who arrived here in the morning, held discussion with the elected representatives, newly elected members of the cooperative bodies and also local party leaders and cadre at the office of the rural district unit of the party at Omalur.

Former Minister S. Semmalai, MLA, MPs V. Panneer Selvam and K. Kamaraj, a host of MLAs were present. He greeted V. Jayaraman, the newly elected chairman of the Salem-Namakkal District Cooperative Milk Producers Union.

Later, he visited Edappadi where he received petitions from the differently abled and others. District Collector Rohini R. Bhajibhakare was present.

The Chief Minister also inspected the Vellarivelli lake near Edapaddi, which was renovated recently.
