Maharashtra CM's wife Amruta Fadnavis ignores safety warning, takes selfie on cruise

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis's Amruta Fadnavis.MUMBAI: Amruta Fadnavis, the wife of Maharashtra’s chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, has courted controversy on Saturday after photographs of taking a selfie on the edge of the Mumbai-Goa cruise ship went viral.
She clicked a selfie on the edge of the ship, beyond the safety barricades. A video of her snapping the selfie went viral on social media. It shows police officers deployed for her security trying to persuade her to return to a safer spot.
On Saturday evening, Angriya, the country’s first domestic cruise service, was inaugurated by Union shipping minister Nitin Gadkari and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis at Victoria Docks. The CM’s wife was also present on board when the ship set sail.
