Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) razed the illegal structures and extension of 11 posh pubs and restaurants at Andheri on Saturday. The illegal structures of pubs and restaurants which have been razed are Independent Breweries, Space Bar, Little Door, Kaledo, Brew Bot, Autumn, Glocal Junction, B- Desi, Beyond Bar are among few. Furthermore, action against two restaurants named Rike Terrace Bar and Barbecue Nation is ongoing, said the official.

The Andheri (K) West ward in its marathon action against illegal pubs and restaurants so far completely razed nine establishments illegal structures out of 11 identified. The action taken helped to retain back more then 15,000 square feet of area which was encroached by these restaurant owners for their personal use and business activity.  The civic official stated that during the action taken it was found out that most of the restaurants and pubs were using the compulsory open space and build illegal structures without obtaining appropriate permissions from BMC.
