Sector 23 A residents demand club
Shakir Mir | TNN | Oct 21, 2018, 07:01 ISTGurgaon: Residents of Sector 23 A have demanded a club at a vacant 6-acre plot by the side of North Cap University in the sector. Residents said around 6 lakh people who live in the vicinity have no club to go to and that the nearest clubs are in sectors 4 and 9 that are far away.
“There are around 6 lakh residents living in Sector 23 A and in sectors 21, 22, Palam Vihar, etc. There’s no gym khana club for these residents. We encounter a lot of inconveniences in this regard. A club would have made it much easier for us.” said Malkhan Singh Yadav, president of Sector 23 A RWA.
Residents said that they also met MCG Commissioner Yashpal Yadav in this regard last week. “We have met Rao Narbir Singh and Umesh Aggarwal among many others. They keep telling us that the matter would be looked into,” Yadav said.
When TOI asked MCG about the same, an official said that they haven’t taken any decision regarding the matter yet.
