That's awkward! KIIS FM hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson win radio's top gong at the ACRAs but don't show up to claim it... as a dummy on a gurney is wheeled out instead
They took home Best On-Air Team at the the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) - radio's night of nights - in Melbourne on Saturday night.
But KIIS FM breakfast hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson failed to show up to claim their award.
The pair were nowhere to be found among the crowd of radio's A-listers at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Despite winning radio's top gong that evening, neither radio personality turned up to claim it.
Instead, what appeared to be a dummy version of the 47-year-old Kyle was wheeled on stage on a gurney.
Hidden under a white sheet, Kyle's portly 'body' was presented by the hosts on stage.

Weird! Despite winning radio's top gong that evening, neither radio personality turned up to claim it. Instead, what appeared to be a dummy version of the 47-year-old Kyle was wheeled on stage on a gurney

Odd: Hidden under a white sheet, Kyle's portly 'body' was presented by the hosts
Wearing what appeared to be an oxygen mask, the dummy was a spitting image of the star.
The gag took place after Kyle was a confirmed no-show at the event.
Hosts and comedians Chris Taylor and Andrew Hanson took good-natured swipe at the KIIS FM breakfast radio king over his absence.

Ouch: Hosts and comedians Chris Taylor and Andrew Hanson took good-natured swipe at the KIIS FM breakfast radio king over his absence. 'Kyle told us by lunchtime that he wasn't going to come,' the duo told the crowd
The pair claimed that Kyle's decision to skip out on the event was a last minute decision.
During their hosting gig, the two Chaser stars said to a packed audience: 'Kyle told us by lunchtime that he wasn’t going to come.
'He treats the ACRAS like he treats his own show. He doesn’t feel obliged to show up.'

Jokes: 'He treats the ACRAS like he treats his own show. He doesn't feel obliged to show up', the Chaser comedians joked about the radio king
