The Kerala Muslim Jama-ath Council has initiated action against Rehna Fatima, who on Friday tried to enter the Sabarimala shrine.

In a press statement issued here on Saturday, Council president A. Poonkunju said she had been expelled from the Muslim community.

“The Council has also directed the Ernakulam Central Muslim Jama-ath to expel her and her family from the membership of Mahallu,” Mr. Poonkunju said.
