Gujarat government issued a weird circular instructing its officials to behave in good manners with elected members like MPs and MLAs.

The circular is issued after three MLAs from Vadodara had expressed their disappointment before the chief minister taking ill treatment from government officials.

The circular was issued by Gujarat government's general administration department (GAD) dated October 05. The circular also cited office memorandum by central government for government officials.

The government officials, through this circular have been instructed to maintain dignity of elected members during communication when they visit their offices for works.

They have been also asked to make sitting arrangements for elected members separately so that they do not feel any discomfort or disrespect when they visit them.

The administrative reforms and training department of GAD got the direct instruction from CMO to issue the circular, said the sources.
