Of the 180 women candidates, who had undergone free coaching at Mahila Pranganam here recently, as many as 156 cleared the preliminary written test for recruitment of stipendiary cadet trainee police constable posts, held more than a fortnight ago.
The district administration had recently conducted a two-month-long free coaching camp for women aspirants for constable posts. Subject experts from a Hyderabad-based coaching centre were roped in for the purpose. Women candidates belonging to weaker sections and economically-poor families from various parts of the undivided Khammam district had attended the camp. “Quality coaching helped an overwhelming number of 156 women candidates crack the highly-competitive preliminary test for police constable jobs,” said V. Vijetha, district manager, Mahila Pranganam. Thanks to the guidance given by the subject experts, as many as 48 women candidates cleared the preliminary written test for the stipendiary cadet trainee sub-inspector posts held recently, she said, adding that plans were afoot to provide free coaching for physical efficiency test for the candidates who have cleared the preliminary examinations for both constable and SI posts. Collector R.V. Karnan appreciated the women candidates who cracked the preliminary written test and exhorted them to put in their best efforts to come out with flying colours in their career pursuits, she said.
