But that didn't stop Tegan Martin from sharing wellness advice to her 120,000 Instagram followers on Thursday.

The 26-year-old took to the social media app to share a photo of herself posing with a yoga mat and discus how she improved her energy levels.

'I've become the master of hacking mine,' Tegan declared in her post.

'Being hit with the Epstein-Barr virus (glandular fever) back in 2011 flipped my life on its head but it's taught me so much about the human body and how to nurture myself,' she wrote.

Tegan explained that some of her favourite energy hacks include reading advice from Medical Medium and Bulletproof.

She also revealed that she ensures she gets plenty of vitamins C and D in her diet, and tops up with regular vitamin B12 shots.

The stunner also revealed that she has switched from high-intensity workouts to slow-burning exercises such as yoga and Pilates, 'because that's how I salvage my precious energy'.

These insights come after The Daily Telegraph published emails - allegedly sent from the 2014 Miss Universe Australia to potential clients - in which she claims to have studied nutrition and have a health coaching certificate.

In the emails, Tegan allegedly claimed she studied at Sydney college Cadence Health and said her supposed coaching certificate is from American online alternative nutrition school The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, or IIN.

She told the publication she's still finishing off her 'health coaching certificate', but insisted she was granted a 'halfway certificate' in April this year.

The former beauty queen claims the 'halfway certificate' allows her to mentor 'paying clients', according to the publication.

The model has since hit back at The Daily Telegraph's investigation into her background, telling Woman's Day recently: 'All I've ever told people is about the health struggles I've had and how I improved my health greatly through alternative therapies.'

She added: 'The article implied I can cure and fix people's illnesses, which I never said I could do.'

Tegan took to Instagram in early June to share her 'passion for wellbeing and healing the human body'.

'I've loved every second of my career in the media/television presenting/modelling space, however a small part of me has always yearned for an outlet for my creativity and passion for wellbeing and healing the human body,' she wrote.
