Ahead of Telangana polls Swami Paripoornananda joins BJP
NEW DELHI: Swami Paripoornananda, founder of Hindu Vahini and seer from Sree Peetham, joined BJP on Friday ahead of assembly elections in Telangana.

Paripoornananda had arrived in Delhi on Friday morning following invitation of BJP president Amit Shah. Party sources said he may contest in the assembly elections from one of the assembly constituency in Greater Hyderabad.

The seer is said to be very close to BJP leadership. He met BJP national president Amit Shah and party general secretary Ram Madhav 10 days ago. BJP ex-MLA from Uppal NVSS Prabhakar accompanied the swami to Delhi.

Sources said the swamiji is keen on contesting from either assembly seat or Lok Sabha seat. The party is planning to utilize his services for campaigning in the elections apart from fielding him in the elections.

It may be recalled that the Hyderabad police ordered the internment of the seer from the city a few months ago on the charges of his provocative speeches. But the high court had stayed the police orders.
