Bengaluru soaks in Vijayadashami spirit

BENGALURU: Vijayadashami has brought a riot of colours for Bengaluru with various communities holding rituals and events to mark the auspicious occasion.
At Bengali association in Banaswadi of east Bengaluru, a Cultural Society celebrated Sindoor Khela to mark the last day of Durga Pooja on Friday. Women were seen smearing each other with the Sindhur.
During the evening on Friday, a mega procession of around 100 idols of Godesses Durga and Chamundeshwari will begin from Dasara Mantap in PRTC Junction in JC Nagar. The procession will move on JC Nagar Main Road before culminating at Shivanna Circle.
