A 76-year-old man has been charged with the indecent assault of two children at an Upper Coomera caravan park.

The man allegedly indecently assaulted an 8-year-old boy and 11-year-old boy, who were holidaying at the Gold Coast between June 30 and August 9 this year.

Investigations by Gold Coast’s Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives led to the arrest of the man on Wednesday night.

The Upper Coomera man was charged with five counts of indecent treatment of a child under 12 years and two counts of grooming a child under 12 years.

The man was also charged with one count of wilful exposure of a person with an impairment, after allegedly exposing himself to a man in August.

He will appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on November 6.
