Harry and Meghan visit Bondi Beach, Harbour Bridge on day four of tour

'It is ok to not be ok'

Charlotte Bidwell, a Brit, says she has lived in Bondi for 10 years. She has donned sequinned fluoro to meet the royals.

“The fluoro is to stand out so people know we are with OneWave, so it is warm and friendly," Ms Bidwell says.

"Our message is it is ok to not be ok. We are not a self-help group, we just get together on the beach once a week for some saltwater therapy.

"As a Brit I am so excited to meet Harry and Meghan, and that they support our cause to raise awareness for mental health.”

Budgie smugglers for Fluoro Friday

A foggy start to the day hasn't deterred a large crowd that keeps building at Bondi. Our royal reporter Helen Pitt says people of all ages have gathered down at the beach.

There are some brilliant bright colours, while the OneWave guys have even donned some special budgie smugglers. What a lovely surprise when the royal couple arrive!

They are currently en route from Admiralty House and are due at Bondi about 8.30am, depending on peak hour traffic of course.

The week so far

In case you have been hiding under a rock all week, here's a brief summary of the royals' trip so far.

  • Day one: a visit to the Opera House and Taronga Zoo.
  • Day two: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex got drenched in Dubbo. Harry praised locals as "the backbone of this country".
  • Day three: a whirlwind tour of Melbourne, including a tram ride and a beach visit.

And everywhere they go, excited crowds follow.

Crowds gather at Bondi

People are already lining up to get a glimpse of royalty.

This morning, Harry and Meghan are due to meet local Bondi surfing group OneWave and take part in Fluoro Friday to raise awareness about mental health. OneWave is a non-profit surf community tackling mental health challenges with a simple recipe: saltwater therapy, surfing and fluro.

It promises to be a colourful morning. Maybe Meghan will wear fluoro?

Sunshine to greet royals, once fog lifts

After some much-needed rain in the past few weeks, Sydney will finally bask in some sunshine today.

There's some heavy early fog, but it will lift ahead of a sunny afternoon with a top of 26 degrees, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Delightful stuff.

With this morning's visit to Bondi, Harry and Meghan will mark consecutive days at the beach. How good is life?! And just quietly, we think Bondi might top this beach in Melbourne yesterday.

Welcome to day four of the Royal tour

Good morning and welcome to day four of the royal tour. Today, Harry and Meghan will visit some famous Sydney icons.

Their day starts at Bondi Beach, before Harry scales new heights by climbing the Harbour Bridge with Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Atop the bridge, they will plant a flag to officially welcome the Invictus Games to Sydney.

Of course, a highlight of today's proceedings will be the happy couple's interactions with the public. We'll have all the coverage and analysis right here, so don't go anywhere.
