‘8-member team to look after election affairs’
BJP leaders have become active over election related affairs after the reprimand of BJP national president Amit Shah. According to sources except for Union minister Narendra Singh Tomar, leaders of state BJP were keeping distance from elections so far. However, tour of Shah has made all leaders active. These leaders have now been assigned responsibilities which they have to fulfill.
Shah has formed a team of 8 members to look over election related affairs. The team, led by state in-charge Vinay Sahasrabudhe includes Narendra Singh Tomar, Prabhat Jha, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Rakesh Singh, Suhas Bhagat, Prahlad Patel and Narottam Mishra.
These leaders have been assigned the works of media, social media, call centre, publicity, publication of election related literature, outdoor publicity, beneficiaries convention, women convention, deciding tours of central leaders in constituencies, contacting intellectuals, find issues against Congress and making arrangements for election meetings.
They will also coordination with the BJP leaders who have come from other states for coordination. State election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan too would stay in the state after October 25 till elections. He will coordinate with these leaders among other works. Vijayvargiya has been asked to look after Malwa, Union minister Uma Bharati to look after Bundelkhand and Patel to look after Mahakaushal. After the beginning of jan ashirwaad yatra, it was appearing that CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan was only active while BJP organisation in the state was inactive.
There was buzz that there was lack of coordination between Chauhan and other leaders of party. All such speculations were affecting the morale of the party workers. Shah in his recent tour had a separate meeting with key leaders of state and asked them to take election related works seriously. He asked them to work as a team. Consequently, meetings on election related works have begun in BJP office. Prabhat Jha said meetings were being organised to give final touch to all works as elections were near. He said election preparations are being done as per the guidance received from the party’ national president.
