Bachelor stars such as Alex Nation and Brooke Blurton revealed their romantic preferences while on the reality show.

And now it appears that Network Ten is considering launching the first bisexual Bachelorette series, according to Herald Sun's Page 13.

If the network decides to go ahead with the progressive idea, it will have plenty of former Bachelor contestants to choose from.

Alex, 27, was the winner on Richie Stahan's season of the show in 2016, after he chose her over girl-next-door Nikki Gogan, 31.

However, the couple's relationship fell apart and Alex moved on with now ex-fiancée Maegan Luxa.

Page 13 also reported that Brooke Blurton, the one-time frontrunner for the Nick Cummins Bachelor series, could also be a possibility.

Brooke, 23, identifies as pansexual and has had relationships with women in the past.

In an interview with NW magazine in September, Brooke revealed she would be interested in becoming Australia's first bisexual Bachelorette.

'If Australia's ready for it, then let's do it! I don't know how I would deal with that, but who knows? I think everything happens for a reason,' she said.

Brooke has previously spoken about wanting to see a more sexually fluid Bachelor or Bachelorette in the future.

'Love is pretty powerful and I love the fact that love is love, and people should have the opportunity to go on the show regardless,' she told Who magazine.

Megan Marx, 29, rose to fame on Richie Strahan's season of The Bachelor, and shortly after her failed stint on the program she struck up a romance with co-star Tiffany Scanlon, 31.

The couple split and earlier this year the Bachelor In Paradise star revealed to NW magazine that she was going to be the Bachelorette before Sophie Monk, 38, took the role.
