Bhagwat had earlier said Constitution is the ‘consensus’ document prepared by the founding fathers of the country and RSS has always respected it. "The RSS accepts the Constitution. There is not even one example in which the RSS has done anything against the Constitution," Bhagwat said. The statement is being seen as an attempt to reach out to weaker sections of the society. Especially the Schedule Caste, Tribes and even minorities- the communities which are guaranteed security and affirmative actions through constitutional provisions.

Earlier in September, RSS chief while delivering the lecture on 'Future of Bharat', the RSS chief had talked about inclusivity.Seeking to define how RSS works and allaying apprehensions of minorities in the country, Mohan Bhagwat had said "inclusivity" is an essential part of the right-wing organisation and that if Muslims are not welcome in a Hindu nation, it is not 'Hindutva'. He also emphasised on how the organisation believes in the power of the Constitution.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will deliver his annual speech in the presence of swayamsevaks (volunteers), who will come from all over the country and abroad.
The Vijayadashami programme and the RSS chief's speech are among the most important events in the organisation's annual calender. Last year, Bhagwat had spoken on issues like the Rohingya crisis, cow vigilantism, Jammu and Kashmir and surgical strikes.
The function, where the RSS chief speaks on a range of issues and outlines the organisation's views on the present scenario and future agenda, will be held at the Reshimbagh Ground in Nagpur. Nobel Prize winner and social activist Kailash Satyarthi will be the chief guest at this year's annual "Vijayadashami" function of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
