They both went through their first six games unblemished and now Case and Old Rochester are playing for the South Coast Conference championship.

The Cardinals (6-0) are the small division champion of the SCC, while the Bulldogs (6-0) are the large champs. Friday night they meet to decide the overall champion of the South Coast Conference.

A year ago, Wareham, the small division winner, defeated large school champ Somerset Berkley.

"Case has rolled over most of the competition," said Old Rochester coach Justin Kogler. "They put up almost 60 points the other night (56-15 win over Seekonk). We'll see what happens."

In the Bulldogs, the Cardinals will be facing, by far, their biggest test of the season.

"They're the best team we will have played so far," said Case coach Anthony Palladino. "They are a very physical, downhill running team that will come right at you.

"Their fullback (Desmond) Dias is a heck of a back and their quarterback (Cole McIntyre) is savvy and does a great job making decisions. They have so many athletes on that team. If you're fortunate to take something away from them, they can find someone else to hurt you."

Old Rochester has been dominant on both sides of the ball. Defensively, the Bulldogs have posted four shutouts in six games, while on offense they have scored at least 35 points in five of the six games.

Case hasn't been too shabby either, shutting out one opponent and hitting 40-plus points on offense twice.

"Our goal is to keep getting better every week," Kogler said. "We are a better team now than we were at the beginning of the year."

The big SCC matchup is one of six games featuring local teams taking place this weekend, five Friday night and one Saturday afternoon. Durfee has a bye week.

Here is a closer look at the other games this weekend.

Somerset Berkley (2-3) at Fairhaven (2-4)

Friday, 7 p.m.

The Raiders hope to get back on track after squandering a big lead last week in a 20-19 loss at Apponequet, while the Blue Devils were trounced by Old Rochester 35-0.

Bishop Feehan (3-3) at Bishop Stang (4-2)

Friday, 7 p.m.

The Spartans look to half their two-game skid after opening with four straight wins. Bishop Stang fell on a last-second field goal at Coyle-Cassidy two weeks ago before losing to Cohasset last week. Bishop Feehan soundly defeated Coyle-Cassidy 28-2 last week.

Coyle-Cassidy (4-2) at Atlantis Charter (0-5)

Friday, 6 p.m.

Not only are the Tritons seeking their first win of the season, they are looking for their first point. Through five games, Atlantis Charter has been outscored 130-0. It won't be easy this week against a Warrior team that is allowing fewer than 11 points per game.

Scituate (1-3) at Tiverton (4-2)

Friday, 7 p.m.

The high-powered Tiger offense will be on display at home this weekend, taking on the Spartans. Aside from Tiverton's 19-14 loss at North Smithfield, the Tigers have scored 32 or more points every game, including 62 in a win over Hope.

Diman (2-3) at Tri-County (5-1)

Saturday, 1 p.m.

Tri-County has been outstanding this season, outscoring its opponents 164-18 in its five victories. The Cougars' lone loss came at the hands of Southeastern, 27-21. Diman lost to Southeastern last week 20-14.
