She told Whimn she is a fan of shopping at budget supermarket chain Aldi, and has offered a list of some of her must-have healthy staples.

Goldenvale Rolled Oats - $1.08
Breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day.
This because energy-laden foods keep your body going for longer and can help steer you away from foods high in fat or sugar come morning tea.
According to Melissa, you can't go past a bowl of oats for a great early morning healthy carb kick start.
'Not only are they a great source of low GI carbohydrates, but they're also rich in soluble fibre that can work to lower your cholesterol – so they're a great option with heart health in mind,' she said.

Melissa recommends Goldenvale Rolled Oats, priced at $1.08, (pictured left) and believes in the benefits of Oh So Natural Wholefoods Smooth Peanut Butter, priced at $2.99 (pictured right)
Oh So Natural Wholefoods Smooth Peanut Butter 375g - $2.99
A jar of peanut butter is an endlessly versatile pantry staple, either as a spread for snacks or as a protein addition to smoothies.
While Melissa says peanut butter is one of her 'all-time favourites' she stresses it's key is to choose a variety that's 100 per cent nuts rather than the kind with added sugar and oils.
'Stick to just one tablespoon and you've got yourself a heart-healthy addition to meals and snacks.'
Ocean Rise Yellowfin Chunk Tuna Italian Style in Oil - $1.79
If you've got a few cans on tuna to hand, you've always got a meal.
Tuna makes for an easy lunch option when combined with other leftovers, or it can be added to greens for a protein boost.
'It's a convenient addition to salads and sandwiches that'll give you a punch of muscle-building protein and help you to feel full,' Melissa added.

Ocean Rise Yellowfin Tuna, priced at $1.79 (pictured left) and Oh So Natural Wholefoods Natural Almonds 250g, priced at $3.99 (pictured right) and The Olive Tree Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, priced at $8.99 are also some of Melissa favourite supermarket buys
Oh So Natural Wholefoods Natural Almonds 250g - $3.99
Healthy snacks are an ideal way to keep hunger at bay and will also stop you straying towards the vending machine when the 3 o'clock slump hits.
Almonds, in particular, come packed with protein, healthy fats and fibre and Melissa says work wonders in keeping you feeling satisfied.
Her recommendation a snacking serve is 30g - roughly the equivalent of a small handful.
The Olive Tree Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 1L - $8.99
Those watching their weight are likely to be careful about the sorts of fats they choose to cook with and eat.
However, Melissa believes extra virgin olive oil comes with a host of health benefits and says there's plenty of evidence documenting this.
According to the dietitian: 'It's full of heart-healthy fats and disease-fighting antioxidants, which is why EVOO is my oil of choice for cooking.'

Leading Australian nutritionist Susie Burrell (pictured) is also an advocate for choosing healthy staples from Aldi.

'Most importantly I know that a number of the key brands sold at Aldi are almost if not identical nutritionally to the name brand comparison product,' Susie wrote on her blog.
Baker's Life Wholegrain wraps - $1.95 for a pack of 8
Having a packet of wraps to hand can make life a whole lot easier, especially if you're making a conscious effort to watch what you eat.
Susie suggests Baker's Life Wholegrain wraps as each contains a low 18g of carbs making it the perfect portion size for a midday meal.
Choose fillings such as hummus, roast vegetables or chicken for a protein-packed lunch-time option.

Baker's Life Wholegrain wraps, priced at $1.95 (pictured), and Market Fare Stir Fry Vegetables, priced at $1.79 are just some of the staples from Aldi Susie always has on hand (pictured)
Market Fare Stir Fry Vegetables 500g - $1.79
While its ideal to load up your trolley with fresh vegetables, a packet of frozen vegetables can be just as nutritious.

Westacre Manhattan Cottage Cheese, priced at $2.89 comes in handy for cooking or as a spread
Susie's advice is to ensure these aren't overcooked in order to maximise the freshness.
'With stir-fry mixes, such as their [Aldi] Market Fare brand, as well as their individual steam packs available for a fraction of the price, these are always in my trolley.'
Westacre Manhattan Cottage Cheese 500g - $2.89
A tub of cottage cheese can come in incredibly handy as it can be used as both a spread and in cooking.
'All the Aldi cheese is significantly cheaper such as their cottage cheese which I am a fan of,' Susie wrote.
'Their cheese and cracker snack packs also are great snack options for both adults and children.'
