BENGALURU: Rain that lashed parts of Bengaluru on Wednesday afternoon threw life out of gear, flooding roads and triggering traffic chaos for hours. The city recorded a rainfall of 45.3mm by 9pm Wednesday.

The BBMP received most waterlogging complaints from Sirsi Circle flyover, Mysuru Road, JC Road, Gandhinagar and Shantinagar.

Hundreds of holiday-goers driving out of the city were stuck in traffic snarls, and a commuter told TOI he took about 20 minutes to cover 1km distance after descending from Sirsi Circle flyover on Mysuru Road.

Traffic nightmares haunted the motorists in Bengaluru again when the rain returned in the night after a couple of hours of break.
