Renowned chef Donna Hay has found fame and fortune for her stellar cooking skills.
But speaking to Nova's Fitzy & Wippa on Wednesday, the 47-year-old said baking can come at a cost.
In an interview with host Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald and Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli, Donna admitted her 12-year-old son Tom was rushed to hospital after suffering an accident while she was distracted in the kitchen.

'I was doing muffins. And then I hear a bit of a scream and of course, I am not watching them on the trampoline,' Donna said.
Donna then rushed outside to check on Tom to see if the injury was serious.
'Anyway, he really, really hurt his neck so badly. Then I have to say 'how bad's the pain?' We go through the whole parenting thing,' she explained.

'I was doing muffins' Donna said that while she was distracted baking in the kitchen, her 12-year-old son Tom (pictured) had an accident on their trampoline

'I've got these cookies and they finish in ten' Wippa (right, pictured with radio co-host Fitzy) joked that Donna was more concerned with her cooking than the well being of her child
Wippa joked that Donna was more concerned with her cooking that the well being of her child, laughing '"Because I've got these cookies and they finish in ten."'
'Exactly. Can you hurry? I can't spoil my baking, it'll put me behind,' Donna joked in return.
'Anyway, long story short: ambulance. Paramedic. My son explains what's happening - he can't move .'

'Anyway, long story short: ambulance. Paramedic. My son explains what's happening - he can't move': Donna explained that it got so bad that she needed to call for assistance
Donna confessed things went from bad to worse when she realised the pain medication she gave Tom were not meant to be taken by people under 14.
Making her feel even worse was when the paramedic asked what happened and she hadn't to admit she wasn't watching.
'I'm like.. well I didn't really see it because I was cooking... would you like a muffin?' she joked.
'I didn't just offer him one, I then took off to the kitchen and wrapped one up for him, just to escape the whole thing.'
However, Donna also revealed that everything ended up ok in the end and her son Tom is 'fine'.

All's well that ends well: Donna laughed that she tried to distract the paramedic from thinking she was a bad parent by offering him muffins
