A 79-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping an eight-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her a chocolate in north-east Delhi’s Khajoori Khas, the police said on Monday.
The incident took place on October 13, when the girl was playing outside her house, the police said. The accused allegedly threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the incident to anyone. The girl narrated her ordeal to her parents, who reported the matter to the police. Based on their complaint, a case was registered and the accused was arrested.
