The BJP Karimnagar town unit leaders have urged Commissioner of Police V. B. Kamalasan Reddy to provide adequate security to BJP candidate from Karimnagar Assembly segment and party state official spokesperson Bandi Sanjay Kumar as he was having threat from TRS candidate and former legislator Gangula Kamalakar.
BJP leaders led by its town president Bethi Mahender Reddy and others submitted a memorandum to Commissioner of Police in Karimnagar town on Tuesday. The BJP leaders stated in a memorandum that the former TRS legislator had threatened to ‘eliminate’ Mr. Sanjay Kumar and tonsure his head and make him tour on a donkey in the town.
The BJP leaders stated that the former TRS legislator was upset by the success of BJP Samarabheri public meeting addressed by party national president Amit Shah on October 10 here and made wild allegations at press meet against Mr. Sanjay including threatening to ‘eliminate’ him. The BJP leaders also met Chief Electoral Officer and submitted a memorandum urging the authorities to disqualify the TRS candidate from contesting elections for his derogatory and threatening statements.
