Wherever freedom of speech is sacrificed... tolerance and freedom are soon sacrificed with it.
If you remove freedom of speech or the virtue of tolerance from any given subject, field or discipline you pave the way for it to be removed across all subjects.
Does diffrence and offence warrant legislation?
Does difference necessarily breed diversity and threaten unity? Does it have too? Is diversity a bad thing?
Is it wisdom to avoid something because of the potential danger thereof? Are we enriching our lives or are we robbing our lives by constantly settling for the lowest common relational denominator?

What can we talk about that we can all have an opinion about that is not personal? Is it meaningful if it is not personal? Does experience not teach us that if we are not interested, affected or arrested by what we talk about we get bored, and move on or away...
Why can people not talk about their differences of opinion on subjects like religion? Are we not a free country? What is the difference between talking about Jesus and talking about our new minister of finance?

People need to have a place where they can take off the masks that society requires of us and let their hearts speak freely without consequence. This forum is that place, but why are we monitoring the content? We will never realize the extent of the problem of the human heart, and then we get shocked when we read about tragedies that happen in public as if we never thought people like that exist.
But if we let these people out the bag in this environment, we can get a reality check on the condition of the human heart, no?
