Drug supplier arrested in Delhi

A carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 was arrested for allegedly supplying to dealers in UP and Delhi-NCR, police said Monday.

The accused identified as was arrested in connection with a case wherein he had supplied worth Rs 20 crore in the international market to his dealer, they said.

"Acting on a tip off, a trap was laid near New Railway Station on October 12 where Yadav had come to board the train for Subsequently, the accused was arrested," Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, of Police (Special Cell), said.

During interrogation, Yadav disclosed that he was involved in drug trafficking for the last four to five years and had supplied more than 50 kg to various dealers.

Yadav used to procure heroin from Manipur, West Bengal, and Jharkhand; and supply them to his drug dealers based in UP and Delhi-NCR, police added.
