Airwil Intellicity buyers to move HC seeking refund
TNN | Oct 16, 2018, 07:17 ISTGreater Noida: A total of 22 buyers who invested in Airwil Intellicity, a mixed land use project in Greater Noida, are planning to move the Allahabad high court seeking refund of their money.
The buyers, who have already approached the Greater Noida bench of the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP-Rera), said they are waiting for a conclusion of the UP Rera proceedings. If the refund orders are not honoured, they will move the high court next month. “If UP-Rera is not able to give us closure, we will have to move Allahabad high court. We invested in the project in 2013 and were supposed to get possession in 2017,” Suraj Gupta, a buyer, said.
Another buyer, Avdesh Saxena, said he had filed a complaint with the bench in December 2017 and received a recovery note in May this year, but hasn’t got a refund from the builder yet.
“The cheque issued by the builder was not honoured by the bank. I had invested Rs 16 lakh to buy a shop at the project,” Saxena said.
“The buyers’ complaints have been heard. The builder has to give exact details of how it plans to either deliver the project or refund buyers,” a UP-Rera official said. Several calls made to the Airwil management went unanswered.
