Ujjain: 2 drug peddlers arrested with cocaine worth Rs. 2.6 Lakh


Two miscreants along with a woman were arrested on Sunday night at inner ring road square of Sanwarakhedi by the police with cocaine worth Rs 2.60 lakh. The police also recovered two local made pistols from the miscreants.

 

Police cordoned off area after getting information 
A police team led by ASP (Crime) Pramod Sonkar after being tipped off by informants condoned off the area of inner ring road square of Sanwarakhedi and arrested Rameshwar Meghwal (24) resident of Nahalghati Jhalawar, Gangaram (35) of village Barkheda and a woman riding on motor bike number MP 13 E T 8346 on which a sticker of MP police was also stuck. On searching police recovered 746 grams of cocaine worth Rs 2.60 lakh and two local made pistols. The police registered a case against all the accused under Section 8 / 20 of NDPS Act and Section 25(1) B of Arms Act and started interrogation to find their other links with drug peddlers.


Team of senior cops dispatched  to Jhalawar
Talking to Free Press ASP Sonkar told that the accused work as watchmen and have been involved in smuggling since 4 to 5 years. Police team was also dispatched to Jhalawar to find out the connections and links of the accused and to decide further course of action, he added.
