Vadodara: A former secretary of the Jambugam village milk society in Chhota Udepur has been booked for allegedly siphoning off Rs 10.77 lakh from the account of the milk society last year.

Society’s chairman Hitendrasinh Chavda, who was informed about the missing amount, lodged a complaint against Kanaksinh Raulji who was elected as secretary last year. He was in-charge of the finances.

In his complaint, Chavda said that Raulji used the milk society’s money for his personal expenses and didn’t return the amount.

The siphoning surfaced during the auditing of the accounts. The milk society doesn’t have any money left.

When Chavda didn’t return the money despite repeated reminders, the chairman filed a complaint of cheating.
