Director V.A. Shrikumar Menon has said he is hopeful about the filming of Randamoozham after his discussion with M.T. Vasudevan Nair here on Sunday.
M.T. had filed a case seeking the return of the film rights after Mr. Shrikumar failed to start the shooting though the script had been handed over four years ago.
Bar
The court, in its order on Thursday, had barred Shrikumar from making a film on Randamoozham. “I spoke to MT for about an hour-and-a-half and explained to him the status of the pre-production work of Randamoozham,” Mr. Shrikumar told The Hindu over phone from Mumbai on Monday.
Communication failure
“There was failure on my part to update him on the progress of the film.”
He said now it was up to M.T. to get back to him about his decision on the future of the project.
“I am confident that all our differences would be settled and we could start the shooting of Randamoozham in August next year,” he said.
The case filed at the munsiff court here is posted for October 25.
