Kanye moves to fresh beats in Uganda

ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) A video of rapper Kanye West dancing freely to a new Nigerian song in an outdoor studio in Uganda has sparked excitement amongst some fans on the African continent.

The footage obtained by Reuters of the American star dropping low to 'Immediately' by artists Mystro and Wizkid was filmed by vocalist and music executive Bankulli, who posted it on his Instagram on Sunday (October 14).

Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian arrived in Uganda on Friday (October 12), and are staying at a luxurious safari lodge in a national park that boasts spectacular waterfalls and wild game.

Local media said Kanye West was recording music for his next album "Yandhi" at a make-shift studio.

Reuters could not independently confirm exactly when and where the video was shot.

The pair presented Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni with a pair of autographed white sneakers on Monday (October 15) during a meeting aimed at promoting tourism in East Africa.

They were reportedly both given Ugandan names, "Kanyesigye" and "Kemigisha", in return.
