'The baby I was carrying was no longer alive': Megan Gale reflects on her heartbreaking miscarriage as she shares a photo taken just days after losing her unborn child
Megan Gale has spoken about her miscarriage on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day (15 October).
The mother-of-two, 43, took to Instagram to share her own personal story in order to help women experiencing a similar heartbreak.
She shared a photo of herself taken just days after losing her unborn child and reflected on what she was feeling at the time.

The picture showed Megan on set of Australia's Next Top Model.
'It has always made me a bit sad when I see this image, [as] I always look at myself and I'm reminded of what I went through only a few days prior,' she wrote.
'In June 2016, nine weeks pregnant, I'd gone for a regular check up with my obstetrician who regretfully told me that the baby I was carrying was no longer alive.
'Needless to say the heartbreak and sorrow surrounding the loss was immeasurable.'
Megan explained that she had to spend the next few days travelling and being away from her family due to work commitments.

'[I had to figure out] how to put on my game face to be in front of a TV camera as if all was peachy and look like I do in this photo when all I wanted to do was curl up and cry,' she added.
'To all the women (and couples) who are suffering a similar loss and are also feeling the need to keep this experience to yourself because right now it's so raw and so private, yet they have to suck it up and solider on, I understand you.'
'I stand with you and I feel for you. It's bloody hard to go through that and even harder to put on the game face. It will get easier with time,' she concluded.

Early last year, Megan spoke publicly about her experience of miscarriage for the first time.
She told Yahoo Be that she felt compelled to tell her story because it is so common and shouldn't be a taboo subject.
'It was just a really hard one to navigate and it just made me think: "Oh my God, there are so many women who are going through this",' she said.
