India’s Rajini Krishnan had a productive outing in the fourth and fifth rounds of the Malaysian superbike championship with three podiums, including a win that helped him finish third in the standings.
In the fourth round, after qualifying second, Rajini took the second spot in the opening race before winning the next.
In the fifth round, Rajini was once again second in the first race. However, he had to withdraw from the second race as he did not have a spare wheel to hold a wet tyre. After he reached the grid on slicks, there was a downpour and the race was declared wet. Rajini was not allowed to fit the wet tyres on to the wheel on his bike as it was against the rules. This meant he ended third, losing the second spot by a solitary point.
