A mother who experienced a hilarious mishap while trying to sell a wardrobe online has become an unexpected viral sensation after her daughter posted a snap of her efforts online.

British Twitter user Sophie Eke revealed how a seemingly innocent picture of some furniture accidentally revealed a lot more than her mother bargained for.

Explaining how the mishap occurred, she shared a text conversation with her mother Julie in which she explained: 'I have put a wardrobe photo up to sell and a lady has messaged me to say she can see my boobs in the mirror.'

It turned out that Julie had taken a snap of the furniture while topless, and been caught in the mirror on the wall directly in front of her.

Sophie's tweet about the mishap has now gone viral, with 74,000 likes and 20,000 shares with tweeters proclaiming they were crying with laughter.

Julie's unfortunate mishap emerged when a potential buyer sent her a message to alert her to the rather revealing nature of the snap.

The wrote: I don't mean to sound rude, but just thought I'd let you know as I noticed straight away.

'The photo you uploaded of the wardrobes, I'm unsure if it's what I think but it seems that there are some boobs in the mirror. Sorry, but just wanted to let you know.'

Realising that she'd been caught topless in the mirror, Julie replied: 'OMG I'm mortified. Thanks you so much. I think I will have to delete the whole post.'

Sophie felt that her mother's hilarious mishap was too funny to keep to herself and posted a screenshot of their WhatsApp exchange on Twitter

Julie was alerted to her error when a prospective buyer for the wardrobes got in touch to tell her that the snap she's posted online revealed a lot more than she'd bargained for

'No problem,' the reply came. Sorry, at first I didn't know if it was a joke photo. Then I didn't think so, but it did give me a giggle. Just wanted to let you know

Julie's daughter was left in hysterics over the blunder, saying: 'I can't breathe. Is that real?'.

Deciding it was too funny to keep to herself, Sophie uploaded their exchange to Twitter.

Can’t believe my mum has uploaded a picture of a wardrobe she’s trying to sell and a lady has had to message her telling her you can see her boobs in the mirror - funniest thing I’ve ever seen,' she said.

Thousands of others have shared their appreciation for Julie's efforts with many sympathising, saying it's the kind of mistake they would likely make themselves.
