MeToo Impact: Farhan Akhtar joins female directors in decision of not working with ‘proven offenders’


With the ongoing MeToo movement, many female directors have decided to not work with proven offenders. Taking their stance ahead, Farhan Akhtar also joined in to follow their footsteps and decided not to work with the proven offenders in the industry.

In his recent tweet, Farhan wrote, “In agreement with the stand not to work with proven offenders. @MardOfficial.”

 


So far, female directors like Gauri Shinde, Kiran Rao, Konkona Sen Sharma, Meghna Gulzar, Nandita Das, Nitya Mehra, Reema Kagti, Ruchi Narain, Shonali Bose and Zoya Akhtar have decided to boycott proven offenders into sexual harassment cases.

 

On the work front, Farhan is currently busy shooting for in London for his upcoming film The Sky Is Pink directed by Shonali Bose which will feature Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim.
