Ludhiana: 1 dead, 2 injured in explosion in air-filling machine

LUDHIANA: An 11-year-old died while two others were injured after an explosion in an air-pressure machine near Neem Waala Chowk in Gyaspura area on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Amit Yadav, son of Jatinder Yadav, who was also injured in the accident along with another vendor.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (ADCP) Surinder Lamba confirmed the death of the boy. He added that the explosion happened after high pressure blew one of the lids of the air-pressure machine and caused severe injuries to the child as he was sitting on the road on side of lid.
Police officer said that the injured were shifted to a nearby private hospital and were undergoing treatment. He added that they haven’t suffered serious injuries.
Meanwhile, panic gripped the area which has high concentration of migrant population and senior police officers were at the spot.
