11: 30 a.m. Some streaky runs coming as Shardul Thakur struggles to run ones and twos and Ashwin (23*) tries to play a few cheeky strokes. India 355/9, lead by 44 runs. Play extended as just one Indian wicket remains.

11:08 a.m. Ninth wicket down for India. Umesh Yadav (2) has been caught behind off Warrican. India 339/9, lead by 28 runs.

10: 58 a.m. Just over half an hour left to lunch, and West Indies would want to go back in having taken the last two Indian wickets. India lead by 25 runs at 336/8. Ashwin on 10*, Umesh yet to open his account.

10:45 a.m. Five wickets for Jason Holder. Scored 52 and now leading by example with the ball as well. Kuldeep Yadav bowled for 6. India 334/8, lead by 23 runs. Ashwin on 8*.

10:05 a.m. Rishabh Pant misses ton. Shannon Gabriel dismisses the Indian wicketkeeper for 92, caught brilliantly by Hetmyer in the covers. India 322/7, lead by 11 runs.

9:55 a.m. Pant (91*) is into the nineties, with Ravichandran Ashwin the new man in after India suffered twin blow this morning. 319/6

9:46 a.m. Double blow! Holder traps Ravindra Jadeja (0) in front. Hosts stutter on third morning as West Indies strike with the new ball. India 314/6, lead by three runs.

9:43 a.m. Ajinkya Rahane (80) falls short of a century, out caught at gulley to a rising delivery. Jason Holder strikes. India 314/5, lead by three runs.

9:30 a.m. West Indies are thinking wickets, and quite rightly so. Holder has asked for the new red cherry straight away as he gets ready to bowl the first over. And with a boundary from Rahane (79*), India go past the visitors' first-innings total of 311 to lead by one run at 312/4.

9:05 a.m. It's Day 3 of this last match of the two-Test series that India leads 1-0, and it could very well be the decisive day of the game.

India, at 308/4, are just three runs behind West Indies' first-innings total of 311. And with two set batsmen, Ajinkya Rahane (75*) and Rishabh Pant (85*), on the crease, a substantial lead is not beyond the hosts to press for another win by an innings.

West Indies, on the other hand, will hope to break the Pant-Rahane stand early and get into India's lower order led by allrounders Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, but they too have Test centuries under their belt -- the latest being Jadeja's maiden one in the first Test of this series.

In short, the trend in the morning session could well decide which way this Test will move.
