Nagpur: The special crime detection team of Railway Protection Force (RPF), Central Railway, seized around 14.5kg of marijuana, worth Rs1.45 lakh, from a coach reserved for physically challenged persons in Dakshin Express on Sunday morning.

It is learnt, the team, under supervision of senior divisional security commissioner Jyoti Satija, was on a patrolling duty when it came across the unattended bag. The jawans, constables Vikas Sharma and Vivek Kanojiya, tried to look for the bag’s owner but none in the coach claimed it.

The team brought the bag on the platform and opened after getting a positive signal from a sniffer dog. The bag contained sealed packets of ganja, which were later handed over to the Government Railway Police (GRP) for further action.
