Watch How The New 2019 BMW 3-Series Comes To Life At Munich Plant

A video detailing the production process of the all-new BMW 3-Series has just been released. If you’re fascinated by how things come together, or more specifically how a car is manufactured, this is a clip you simply cannot miss.

The 38-minute video starts early on in the sedan’s production process when its body comes together and is expertly manufactured by advanced robots. Once the basic frame of the car is put in place, robots perform dozens of intricate welds to make the car strong. Watching the robots work is almost like seeing synchronized swimming in the Olympics.

Once the vehicle’s body is complete, it heads through to the paint shop where employees ensure all the surfaces are free of any inconsistencies that could ruin the paint work.

Once a lick of paint has been applied, employees analyze every millimeter of the body to ensure there are no bad spots. When the paint gets the tick of approval, the new 3-Series continues to move down the production line where it is soon outfitted with its complete drivetrain, including all suspension and braking components.

The final process of production is where staff fit the vehicle’s interior and all of its exterior panels.

BMW took the covers off the new 3-Series at the aris Auto Show. The car has been priced from $40,200 in the United States and will initially be sold exclusively in 330i guise, with rear- and all-wheel drive. Once deliveries of the vehicle ramp up, new variants will be introduced, including the M340i complete with a 382 hp straight-six engine. An all-new M3 is expected to be ready for the 2020 model year.
