Teko - I will retire from soccer the day it feels like a job

Cape Town - In an exclusive chat with Sport24 veteran Cape Town City midfielder Teko Modise talks about his distinguished career spanning over almost two decades as well as what his future holds.

Modise, who became the first black South African footballer to release a book revealed what readers can look forward in his biography: 'The Curse of Teko Modise'.

"This book can be used as an inspiration for young kids," Modise said. "Most black people, we're scared to speak about our struggles so I just want to give others that opportunity by opening up about my trials and tribulations.

"As black people I hope we will start to share our stories, I've started telling mine so I just hope that there will be more that follows."

The former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates midfielder also revealed his future plans after his playing career comes to an end.
