Three years ago, Javed had to get his one leg amputated after a terrible road accident when his bike rammed into a truck.

It took him some time to come to terms with the curveball life threw at him. However, the young man got up, dusted off the negativity and began working on putting his life back together. “I turned to music, learnt the guitar. And slowly things started to assemble together,” he told Mirror in an exclusive chat.

“I used to dance and choreograph before the accident. After that, I didn’t give up and started to teach young students to dance.

I have taught over 2,500 people so far,” said Javed with a voice beaming with pride.

It’s not just marathon, music, dance, and swimming, but also sports that Javed is good at. He was recently titled ‘Man of the Tournament’ at an inter-state wheelchair basketball team in an event for the paraplegic sportspersons last month.

“I love adventures. I have been playing basketball for some time now. Earlier, I’d pursue other sports too,” he said.

Javed was a first-year BCA student when he met with the accident. Now, he's the first person in his family to be a graduate.

"No one in our family has really been educated. I am the first person, who left the village and home to study. I want that others should also study," he said, adding that he's also preparing for Civil Services examination.

Ask him about where he gets inspiration to pull off so many amazing feats, he says in all humility, “When you have nothing to lose, you do what you know best. I learn from my failures and never stop myself from trying new things,” he signs off.
