According to reports, the founder of the Shankar IAS academy, Shankar Devarajan committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Mylapore. His body was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence on Friday morning.
He was the founder of Shankar IAS academy in Anna Nagar, Chennai. According to reports, he committed suicide due to issues in his family. He is survived by 2 daughters.
A complaint has been filed and police are investigating further on the case. A native of Nallakoundampalayam, Namakkal district, Shankar has tutored and mentored thousands of students over the past 12 years for Civil Services exam.
