AMBALA: The Barara
police team
arrested two accused for kidnapping and raping two
minor girls.
The arrested accused were presented before the court, which has sent them to two-day police remand.
On October 6, the family member of the
survivor minors had filed a complaint with the police alleging that on October 5, some unknown person has kidnapped their 17-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old relative girl. After registering the complaint, the cops started the investigation.
As per cops, on October 7, both the girls returned home as they went with their own will. On knowing that the girls have returned home, the police questioned the girls. Answering the cops, the 16-year-old relative denied anything had happened with her but the other girl alleged that she was raped by the accused.
On October 10, the police managed to arrest the two accused. Barara station house officer, sub-inspector Ramesh Kumar said, “After one of the girls alleged that she was raped, we have added Sections of POCSO Act to the same FIR as we had only registered a case of kidnapping. The statements of both the girls are recorded under Section 164 of the Code of the Criminal Procedure (CrPC). We have rounded up two accused and action will be taken against them.”
