AHMEDABAD:
Navratri revelry turned into a brawl as a 24-year-old man was beaten by five boys including two minors after he accidentally kicked one of them while performing garba at a party plot in
Chanakyapuri area of the city late on Wednesday night.
According to an FIR lodged with Sola police, the complainant Bhavik Gajjar (24), a resident
Adalaj, was playing garba at Prasang Party Plot in Chanakyapuri when he accidentally kicked a minor boy. The minor boy started arguing with Gajjar on why he kicked him. Soon, the minor boy called up his four friends who rushed to the spot and started abusing Gajjar. When Gajjar objected to it, they started hitting him with chairs placed at the venue in which he suffered injuries on his forehead and lips. Panic gripped the garba venue after the brawl and the event was held up for around two hours, said a police official. Gajjar was taken to a nearby hospital after which he lodged a complaint with Sola police. Police sub-inspector Sejal Meghani, investigating officer of the case, said that late on Thursday the police arrested all the five accused who were booked under the charges of unlawful assembly, rioting and causing hurt.
