Tanushree Dutta openly accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment seems to have given the courage to many women to speak up about their own instances of harassment, assault and even rape, at the hands of male actors, directors and producers in the Bollywood film industry. After claims of sexual harassment were made against Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Rajat Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Alok Nath, Sajid Khan and Anu Malik, the name of another heavyweight in the industry has cropped up on the ever-growing list of alleged offenders.
According to reports, producer Bhushan Kumar has been accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous Twitter user. Going by the tweet doing the rounds on social media sites, the woman, an actress claimed that she was dropped from the film because she "refused to sleep with the 'boss'.”

Calling Bhushan the “mafia of the industry”, the anonymous social media user narrated how she was finalised for a film, but alleged that the producer later offered her a 3-movie deal, as he saw “a lot of potential.” She went on to state that he messaged her directing her to meet him at a bungalow in Versova and that he was “looking for a relationship that involves work and pleasure.” He reportedly made this offer on the pretext of making her “a superstar.”

However, the actress reportedly turned down his offer saying, “I don't sleep for work and pleasure and if this is what I would have to do to get the film then I am backing out right now.”

She even claimed that Bhushan threatened her against telling anyone or else, “he will not let me survive in this city,” she said.
