Man kills 22-year-old friend over affair with wife

Coimbatore: A 22-year-old man was murdered by his friend and accomplice near Seiyankuttai at Pachapalayam near Annur on Thursday night. The deceased was identified as A Manikandan of Vinayagar Temple Street at Arasur near Sulur. Manikandan, a van driver, was having an affair with his friend Ranjith’s wife Sathya, police sources said. Ranjith, who came to know about the affair a few months ago, had warned the lovers. On October 3, Ranjith and his brother-in-law Dharmaraj saw Manikandan on a motorcycle with Sathya as pillion rider. Ranjith filed a complaint at Perur all-woman police station and police advised the duo to end the relationship. Manikandan, who had left the home on Thursday, did not return. His body was found at Seiyankuttai on Friday. Annur police registered a case against Ranjith and Dharmaraj under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC and have formed a special team to nab the duo.TNN
